A lot has happened in 2024 within the industry and our company. This year, we have seen advancements in AI technologies, uncertainty within the supply chain, and challenges from evolving regulatory compliance within our regions. Through it all, we continue to be proud of our team’s dedication and hard work to support our customers and their businesses.

Over the past 12 months, we have been diligently working to share product education, industry insights, and a peek into our culture through new videos, employee spotlights, updated resource pages, special events, educational guides, and more. In case you missed any of it, we have compiled this recap summarizing some highlights and exciting moments at WCP from 2024.

Leadership Updates and Women-Owned Certification

Amy Swanson and Teresa Russell - WBENC Certification

This past Spring, Amy Swanson was promoted to CEO; former CEO Tom Groves retired and joined the WCP Board of Directors. You can learn more about this transition in our press release. Due to this transition, with Teresa Russell as our owner and Amy Swanson as CEO, we meet the requirements to be certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) as a Women-Owned Business. Highlights: Events, Promotions, and Featured Services

Paper in Bloom

This past May, we threw our first Paper Show since 2019 in Portland, OR. This year’s theme was Paper in Bloom, inspired by spring colors, flowers, and new products flourishing in the paper industry. It was a great event filled with education, collaboration, and camaraderie with people passionate about paper!

Return of the Titanosaurus Rex!

Titanosaurus Rex 3-Poster Series

Over the summer, we released three special-edition blockbuster movie-inspired posters promoting Titan Coated Paper. Each poster design was inspired by our partnership with Hansol and the different aspects of Titan. This campaign brought back the mighty Titanosaurus Rex, a defender of printers and paper everywhere, which has not been seen in nearly 20 years.

Didn’t get a poster? We still have a handful of posters left. Collect them all before they go extinct!

Finding your Perfect Fit

This year, we highlighted our Perfect Fit program and brand. Perfect Fit is our collection of custom, in-house-produced products, including custom sheeting, envelopes, rolls, and packaging prototypes. Our Envelope and Converting team crafts solutions tailored to your business needs. Choosing Perfect Fit benefits your business and the environment. We reduce paper waste and costly labor while recycling nearly everything—paper scraps, roll cores, and plugs are re-pulped or reused, and slitting waste is composted.
