Evie Thompson is the 2021 West Coast Paper Company Scholarship Recipient
WCP Solutions is excited to announce Evie Thompson as the 2021 recipient of the West Coast Paper Company scholarship. Evie will be using the scholarship for her education in Speech Pathology at Portland State University and we’re excited for Evie’s upcoming journey.
Get to Know Evie Thompson
Evie graduated from Sam Barlow High School, class of 2020. While attending high school she was on the student council, cheer team, golf team, bowling team, in the National Honors Society, as well as a member of the Key club. She is enrolled in Portland State University and will be a Junior this upcoming Fall, studying Speech and Hearing Science with plans to become a Speech Pathologist. After completing her undergraduate studies at PSU, she plans to head on to her Master’s Degree and hopes to graduate in 2025.
Unfortunately with the pandemic, Evie hasn’t been able to get involved in as many activities at PSU and her classes have been all online so far, but with restrictions loosening, she’s excited about meeting new people and building relationships in the coming years at PSU. Ultimately, Evie would love to work as a speech pathologist in a hospital in pediatrics, with deaf and developmentally disabled individuals.
