Paper and Twine Volume 3
We’re thrilled to share Paper and Twine Volume 3 is here! Designed in-house at the Design Center, this zine showcases some of our favorite sheets, creative print techniques, local artists, and fun ways to bring new energy to your print projects.
This edition is all about fresh ideas: spring-inspired colors, hand-drawn botanical illustrations, and standout ways to make your collateral unforgettable. We’re exploring unique folds, mixing and matching sizes and textures for a tactile experience, and even custom envelopes to help your pieces rise above the crowd.
As always, you’ll also find a Local Artist feature, a fun recipe, and a short story from WCP’s history, all designed to spark creativity and keep you inspired.
Design and Production Notes
Editorial content for Paper and Twine Volume 3 was created by Laura Luethje and Carrie Pinkstaff, with design and illustrations by Carrie Pinkstaff. To bring this issue to life, we selected a range of papers and print techniques that add texture, color, and character to every page:
- The cover was printed on Classic Linen Haviland Blue 80# Cover using the KM-1 Inkjet and a digital 4-color process to highlight its textured elegance.
- The Keep it Fresh spread features Stardream Quartz 105# Cover, printed with the Ricoh 9110 to showcase its subtle shimmer and bright details.
- For the Designer Feature, we chose Husky 80# Text, digitally printed in full color on the HP Indigo 7K for a clean, sharp finish.
- And for the Planting Ideas invite insert, we used Go-To Digital 80# Smooth Cover, running it through the KM-1 Inkjet with a digital 4-color process to capture every detail with clarity.
