Step Into Our History, 95 Years in the Making
The Launch of the WCP Timeline
On March 1st, we celebrated our 95th anniversary in Business! Originally founded in Seattle, WA, by Richard Abrams and his wife, Amelia, WCP was built on family values and a deep commitment to supporting the local community. Over nine decades later, we are proud to uphold those same values as a third-generation, privately-owned business that has grown to 14 locations across six states with over 500 people.
To commemorate this milestone, we invite you to take a walk down memory lane with us through our new WCP Timeline, an interactive, living document that highlights our culture and the key moments that have shaped our company over the decades.
The WCP Timeline is a passion project created by the WCP Marketing team to celebrate and document the company’s history. It draws from our company integers “The Integrity of It All” by Dick Abrams, along with verbal stories, historical records, and employee contributions. As a living document, we will continue to expand and refine it. This project is the result of many hours of research, but we know there’s much more to our story. If you have corrections, details, images, or events to add, please reach out—we’d love to hear from you!
Our Thanks
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our employees, customers, and suppliers who have helped us reach this milestone. Your support has been invaluable and we are grateful to celebrate 95 years together. Here’s to 100 years and beyond!
