WCP is proud to announce that our Board member, Tom Groves, was recently recognized with two of the paper industry’s most prestigious awards: the Stanley O. Styles (SOS) Industry Excellence Award from the National Paper Trade Association (NPTA) and the Linda Hartinger Award from the Association of Independent Printing Paper Merchants (AIPPM).

Tom was recognized for the Stanley O. Styles Award at Paper Meets Live! 2024, an event hosted by the NPTA and the American Forestry and Paper Association (AF & PA), which brings together top paper suppliers and independent merchants. Tom has spent his career in the paper industry. In his speech at the event, he shared his connection to the field saying, “The paper business has been my life.”

The SOS Nominations Committee remarked, “[We] recognize Tom for his outstanding leadership, unwavering dedication, and significant impact on the paper industry and beyond. His achievements truly embody the spirit of this award, honoring those who inspire through their commitment and contributions.”

Tom was honored with the Linda Hartinger Award at the AIPPM Fall Meeting, which took place in Vancouver, BC. This award recognizes his outstanding contributions and leadership in the association and the paper industry.

These awards celebrate Tom’s outstanding leadership and impact on the paper industry. The recognition from his peers at both NPTA and AIPPM reflects his continued dedication to advancing the paper community. Before joining the WCP Board, Tom served as CEO of WCP Solutions until his retirement this past April.
