Amy Swanson Promoted to Chief Executive Officer, WCP Solutions, Tom Groves to Join WCP Board of Directors
West Coast wholesale distributor, WCP Solutions, announces the promotion of Amy Swanson to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective April 17, 2024.
Kent, Washington April 10, 2024 – WCP Solutions, announces that on April 17, Tom Groves will transition to the WCP Board of Directors and will hand off his long-term role as CEO to Amy Swanson, current COO.
A statement by current CEO, Tom Groves:
“The last 18 years serving as President and then CEO have been extremely gratifying to me both professionally and personally. What we as a group have accomplished and the manner in which we accomplished it will be carried forward by Amy and the company. I look forward to watching our company continue on this path to the next level. For me this is not an end but the start of a new beginning to the next chapter of WCP. Let’s take it to 100 years and beyond!”
Amy Swanson began her career at WCP as a Controller in 1999 and four years later, was promoted to Vice President of Finance, followed by her promotion to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in January 2014, and later Chief Operations Officer (COO) in October 2020.
For the last four years, acting as COO and CEO together, Swanson and Groves and other members of the leadership team have helped push WCP forward with continued success. Throughout her career, Swanson has demonstrated great commitment to raising the standards of excellence in accounting, finance, operations, and putting the right people in the right jobs.
Tom Groves, Chief Executive Officer of WCP Solutions (2009-2024) will join the Board of Directors beginning April 17.
As WCP makes this transition, Groves will be the only member outside of the Abrams and Russell family currently on the Board of Directors. He has been an important part of the WCP family for over 32 and a half years and has led since 2006.

Tom will end his role as CEO on April 16, the 18th anniversary as leader of WCP Solutions.
